Hello everyone

Thought i would just leave some advice and comments about the Island - first time there and will defo be back:-

Restaurants to go to:-

Matagorda - Steak House, Irish Bar and Chinese Restaurant



Restaurants/Pubs

Paddy's Paradise - Madagorda (pub 2 doors down shows films that are in the cinema in the UK every Thursday night and they do a curry/movie night every Thursday night for 8.50 euros - obviously copies, but great as saw Toy Story 3 and The Karate Kid when we were there - if you don't like curry you can buy other UK food!!


Karoke Bars:-

Titos - Puerto Del Carmen - a mate called Roger was doing the DJ'ing in there and its brillant - tons for the kids to amuze them selves with, great cocktails (try the strawberry one!!) and excellent staff!!) - it was my birthday night when we went and i got a good free cocktails - and i have to be honest had to get a taxi home lol!!)


Favourite Bar of the holiday:-

The Funny Farm - Matagorda - Great people, great karoke that starts at 9.30pm - they also do a Karting excersion every Monday which you can't miss! Never enjoyed myself more and Irene the wife of the owner with the blond hair is brillant - if anyone likes speed this is the place to go to - not flat go karting - its up hills and round bends so don't spend your money on the other go-karting place as its flat and not worth the dosh!!! Irene and her partner have only been there for 3 months and the place is getting so busy make sure you book through Matty at the Funny Farm and with that you get transport, karting, food when you return to the pub and only 2 euros for a pint of beer!! So, What's your opinion of the island outside of bars, restaurants and go carting then?

Hi Caroline and thanks for posting your review.

It seems you certainly enjoyed yourself on your first visit to Lanzarote and it's good that you got out and about and spent your hard earned in many establishments.

Walker doesn't seem to understand that not everyone wants to come to the Island and have a cultural experience. Some people work hard all year and just want to let their hair down and chill out and enjoy themselves after they have saved hard all year.

I for one enjoyed your reviews and I've also heard great things about the Funny Farm and will certainly try out the go karting.

u sure enjoyed yourselves. That karting sounds great. where do they take you for that, I remember seeing one on the road to Tahiche or San bartolome, is it one of those? Can you give me an idea of the cost per adult please? That's good to know about Paddys too, will give it a go next time.
