Hi Everyone, Coming to Lanzarote on the 17th of July, With BF and two kids age 11 and 14, We are staying at the heredad kamezi villas in playa blanca,we have a hire car, and are staying for two weeks flying from gatwick,Would appericate if you could answer some questions for me please

1, How far is airport to kamezi villas (have been told 1 hour is this right?
2, What places would you recommend to eat at?
3, daughter wants to visit water park is it any good?
4, What Excursions would you recommend?
5, What is the weather like in playa blanca?

Airport to Playa Blanca approx 35-40 mins.
I like to eat at Don Camilo II or the Rincon Playa.
I must admit i´m not a fan of the water park, see other posts for reviews.
The "Fire Mountains" , Timanfaya are a must. The mirador del Rio has spectacular view from the road at the side without the entrance charge. Also the Jameos del Agua in the North a tunnel formed by Lava from the Corona volcano containing a tidal pool with tiny, blind albino crabs (only found in this location in the world). Green Caves a 45 min walking tour in the same tunnel with a surprise.
Weather is very hot with a nice wind/breeze most of the time.
I´m sure you´ll get more info too.

1) Cymmon spot on
2) I love Inn Plaice (for Sunday Lunch), Almacen de Sal (nice dinner without kids), Made in Italy (nice family friendly italian), Cafe Aroma (only sandwich bar in town), Cafe34 (for English breakfast), Lani's Snack-Bar (just the SNACK BAR - good for a cheap lunch in the Marina), Tandoori House (for Indian on back street), Great World (Chinese) ... oh I could go on you can tell its lunchtime and I'm hungry!
3) Depends on the age of your daughter? It is a long trip from Playa Blanca - A lot of people now do a trip to the bigger one in Corralejo (via the ferry) and some of the tour operators offer it from the reception of the hotels
4) Fire Mountains, Rancho Texas (for day or a fun filled evening), Afternoon to Papagayo beaches (watch the sun and take plenty of drinks with you) & Green caves - most of them will be fine with kids some of the other attractions might not be so appealing depending on the age of your little (or not so little) one
5) Sunny and blue skies 28c (just looked out of the window) - I would expect the same if not hotter if you come in the next 10 weeks!
