Whats the point of that?! Bit like sticking your fingers in your ears and shouting out "lalalalalala not listening!!"
No sign of Lanzadump - obviously frantically thumbing though holiday brochures and websites to find somewhere cool enough to avoid getting a thorough slating!
Does he admit that secret love he has for Pontins at Weston-Super-Mare? Does he mention that his dirty secret that he likes nothing better than a cruise for two around the Scilly Isles listening to failed X factor candidates on the cabaret? Is he too cool for school favouring urban breaks in New York, Stockholm and Berlin....?
We shall never know....!

Oy !
Not been to Stockholm, but city breaks in Berlin and NY are totally brilliant.

Easy - not knocking them at all!
Should have suggested that Lanzadumps favourite destination is hiding under a bridge with all the other trolls.....!

The nasty ones balance the nice, and I do enjoy the rattling of sabres, cages and the thunk of toys landing outside the pram.

Don´t knock Weston-super-mare, It may not have a pier there anymore but my friend lives there when he´s not slumming it in Lanzarote! Ok, which dictionary did you use to think that the above statement is correct???????

lanzadump wrote: Well, after having spent some time in Lanzarote, i'd just like to voice my comments on how **** it is. All this is not aimed at the tourists but at the residents there, who I feel, are a bunch of misfits running away from there wrongs doings back in their native land.
Lets face it, everyone is allowed to make mistakes but if you carry on trying to con people and rip people off then life will catch up with you. The island is full of rip off merchants and players. Movistar is a complete rip off, Internet connections are difficult to get hold of unless you pay through the nose for it. Crime is rife from the Moroccans. The food and drinks are over priced and the restaurants (mainly in the old harbour) try and 'accidentally' put more drinks on your bill hoping you wont notice. This happened to me on many occasions, so check your bill thoroughly. The dive centres are mostly illegal and dont hold the correct paperwork to operate within the compliance of the law and probably would not qualify to get help from the recompression chamber should there be any diving accident. I booked a ten dive package and after the hidden charges were added it made my costs very high.
The paperwork when buying a car is hideously over complicated in order to prevent fraud but does in fact make it easier make a fraudulent case.
The spanish on the island seem to want to die and are the most miserable bastards I have ever met. Waiters seem to grunt at you should you have the nerve to order anything in their restaurants as this is an utter inconvenience to them. Hope when the airplanes fly over empty and they have lots of finger twiddling to do and no customers to serve that they might reflect on their previous attitude.
all in all, Lanzarote is a sad lonely place should you go there alone to retire, work or long extended holidays with no one from any nationality wanting to be social. If you have had mis fortune to have a timeshare rammed down your throat and foolishly bought one for an overpriced deal and you are forced to make use of it then make sure you have sky tv and lots of dvd's, It the only thing that will make your evenings worthwhile.
I'm glad i left and can look back (with a shudder) and think what a lot of pointless people living there and what a waste of time. The only good thing is the weather and thats it.
So, to summarise, Lanzarote, full of tossers and over priced.
