We are going to lanzarote on 18th may 06 for 11 nights, we are stopping at las terrazas (up the hill) has anybody ever stopped there, if so what is it like? Also is there plenty to do and see in puerto del carmen we like sightseeing? What is the beach like? Also what will the weather be like at that time?

up the hill sounds like guanapanay (cardiac hill) aint that bad
pdc is a tourist resort..lots of fun and craic
go to the national park(timanfaya) lovely volcanic scenery
the north island tour covers the caves and vinyards(nice)
beaches are lovely(watch out for scorching sand)
loungers are a bit expensive so bring a wind breaker and few large towels
weather is absolutely glorious...bring plenty of sun cream
if the sun dont tan you, the wind will BEWARE!

Thanks for that info, yeah it is up cardiac hill - will need the exercise to walk off the food and beers!! Thanks for the info. Can not wait to go - counting the days down.

Me and my boyfriend are out to PDC same time as you 18th may, we are staying at the atlantis las lomas (up the hill too) I do know it is only a 5 min walk to the beach, if you havent already seen a pic of the hill .. take a look at - http://www.discoverlanzarote.com/viewtopic.php?t=781 , I posted this thread after i came across the pic.. It dont seen too bad but depends on how fit/old you are.

Where do you fly from and what time. We are flying from Manchester at 2.50pm.

Fly from Newcastle at 4pm, How many is travelling with you? We are hoping to do some water sports and the quad tour (Megafun) i think its called, looking farward to it what ever we do.

There is just the two of us, what is the tour thing?
