In just over a week my wife & I will make our annual trip for some winter sun in Puerto del carmen. We stay in the old town & visit a different restaurant each night. We tend to eat late so often dont leave the restaurant till 11.30 to midnight.
Our problem is that we have never at that hour found a spot to enjoy a night-cap. Now before you helpful people send us down to the front strip I should add that we are in our sixties & a night-cap for us is a a coffee, a brandy & some convivial conversation, not loud music.
We are both active & can get about but prefer to stay in the old town area, surely there is such a bar hidden away somewhere, can anyone help?

Thank you kindly

Tony

Just behind the harbour restaurants on c roque nublo , not far from the Japanese restaurant ( Nippon) is a small square with some quieter bars (where bourbon st bar is). But they do tend to be rather tv oriented.

There's a little place over towards the end of Calle Teide, called the Hanging Monkey that might suit your needs.

I've never been inside but I've passed it a few times of a night and it seems to be free of TV and loud music.

You can see where it is on this map (thanks Kim & Jeremy!):

They all tend to shut if no customers in round that square as I often go into dog and duck before getting the bus back. So luck of the draw there..worth a try. I know they will stay open till 1am if people are in drinking.

The last I heard was that it was now called the nineteenth hole and due to certain circumstances it may well have now closed
