Take your choice there are loads up for sale.

If you look further on this site you will see some one has advertised theirs for sale.

Surely the amount of bars that are available would set the alarm bells ringing

Treu yorkyboy but people are still looking to buy and if they have their own ideas then it could work for them where it doesn't work for others.

There are always many bars up for sale throughout the Canary Islands and at the moment the only exception is the prices which have seen some of the lowest in Lanzarote for over 5 years. People are scared by the "credit crunch" but there are still plenty of people jumping on the planes (from all over Europe not just the UK & Ireland remember) and enjoying their holidays lazing on the beach, grabbing a breakfast, lunch or dinner and sitting around in bars in the evening.
I'm not for one saying that the world is great but the bars especially for sale are falling in to the market of "what will someone pay" and so many are being sold at 1/2 the price they were 2 years ago and would expect them to be in a few years time again.
With regards "leasing" a bar be very careful that you can get this business from the landlord and not from the tenant to ensure that you have a legal rental contract ... and please don't just listen to the customers and bar owner as to what paperwork you need ... you need a licence, boletins, project, liability insurance and more and so if you choose not to buy or lease through an agent then at least ensure that you use a solicitor or gestoria.
If you want any more specific advice then I have Private Messaged you my details so you can get in touch or come and visit us in one of our offices!
Phil
