Hi Mr E, Glad you had a good time, we are going self catering but will be eating out all the time, we know the area quite well having stayed at Peurto Tahiche last year and had a cracking time, would be interesting to know what exchange rate you got and where the best place is.

Hi Kenbo
When we went, the Post Office were offering exchange rate of 1.16, but once we got to resort it got as high as 1.26.
We always used the Exchange/Duty Free shop that is on the same road as Los Zocos further up in the town (passed the big Netto, near Last Minute Travel and more or less opposite the La Coste shop). It's got a big red and yellow front that says "EXCHANGE". However, many of the other places were offering similar.
I also got a litre bottle of honey rum from there for E3.50!
I recommend that you visit La Cohiba bar on a Thursday as its 1 Euro a pint! Tell them that the family with the young lad who always drank milk sent you - you might get a free biscuit!

Hi Meat, If you walk up the road at the side of Los Zocos, carry on past Cactus Jacks and keep walking it's the last bar on the right hand side before you get to the main road. Hope you find it and have one for me. Nick

Hey Meatloaf, Im flying out this Thursday for 1 week, got an early flight so even if we have a delay i should be able to sample a few 1euro pints, and if you send me a list of all the bars you frequent I will personally call and do a bit of canvasing for you, hic hic. And I wont be missing you either LaEsquina so get the g&ts ready. Whats the evening weather like? is it shorts or long trousers ? Or is it long trousers and shorts(as in gin)

Hi Meat, just got back in the U.K. tried almost all the bars in C.T. but due to the economic climate they totally refused to lower their prices I say almost all the bars, as I was in hospital for the last 3 days of my 7 day holiday and was unable to fulfill my task lol, nothing too serious thankfully, I think it was the number of G&Ts that Alana and Steve were forcing me to drink that was the problem, jeez once you get in the La Esquina you cant get out Looking forward to going back soon to finish off what I started.
