Hi all - I'm a newbie loving this forum!!

Me, my wife and our 5 year old son are coming to Los Zocos in four weeks and I would like to ask a couple of question (if anybody knows the answers!)

Firstly, I understand that Blocks 1 & 2 are the ones to stop in as they have been refurbished, but which one is best? Ideally, I would like a room away from any noise (i.e Cactus Jacks) as my son is not a good sleeper if there is a lot of noise.

Also, does the hotel have a car park as we are hiring a car from the airport? If not, where is the best place to put the car?

I understand there is a kids club, but can this be used by anybody or is it just for First Choice?

It's our third year in a row to CT but first one in a hotel, we normally have a villa (Villa Carina) but thought that there would be more to do for our young 'un in a hotel.

So many questions for a first post - sorry.

Hope to see some of you bar keepers soon!

Hello MisterE try the web site below, there are 42 reviews on it and you may get an idea on whether there is a car park. We went in the los Zocos for a nose around when we were renting a villa in Teguise. There isnt a car park at the front of the building as it faces the main road, however not too sure whether there is a car park at the rear. Hope this helps, Meatloaf may be able to help as he frequents costa teguise.

Have a nice holiday

Hi MisterE,

We have a good few customers that have come in from Los Zoccos and reviews are mixed. I am unsure which ones are refurbished and this would account for the mixed reviews but on the whole the reviews seem to be good. If you are going on half term week then contact your tour operator now and request a room where there will be as little noise as possible - if you are coming on weeks either side of that then you should be able to change your room on request on arrival. There is no car park that i know of in Los Zoccos but there is a large car park across the road in Las Cucharas shopping centre and your car will be fine there. Not sure about the kids clubs but i am sure that if there are spaces available then your kids will be slotted in!
We are not a million miles away from you and if you would like to know where we are then please feel free to pm me. :D

Hi Mister E

There is no car park at loz zocus however ample parking across the road so no problems there. We went there 2 years ago and there was a kids club but i believe now that the hotel run the kids club and not first choice but you should email the hotel and ask them. Lots of the rooms have been re furbished and are of an ok standard but i wouldnt go for the all inclusive food as on our first day the breakfast was cold and when i complained they told me to reheat it in the microwave so i left it and didnt eat there again. Saying that thou there are many many excellent places across the road and further up to eat. There are 2 big pools which my kids loved. Im sure you will have a great time.

Hi All

Thanks for the replies. We booked through Alpha Rooms so I did read their reviews, but I've found that it is a dangerous thing reading reviews online cos for everyone who says it's the best hotel ever, there's somebody who says it's the hotel from Hell!! Anyway, I still can't help reading them even though it makes me slightly nervous!!

Is the car park across the road free?

We're going B&B not AI as we like to eat out somewhere different every night and see the resort. Hoping to pinch some bread rolls to take to the beach with us for lunch (lol)!!

I'm certainly planning to visit La Equina following the good reviews on this site. We land on 2/10/08 so get me a cold one ready. Are you up the hill on the same road as Los Zocos?

Looking forward to it now although if we get one drop of rain I will be very upset!!!

Dale

Hi All,

yes we are situated up the hill on the same side as Los Zoccos - about 5 minutes away and a roll down the hill when you are done!!
Thanks for the link Bob - can i just point out that we have changed our hours and we are not a ´groove bar´now. Obviously, we are not allowed to inform you of our hours or our prices as that would be advertising but i can tell you we do not open before 10.59am and our beer is no less than €1.49
Look forward to seeing anyone who may be coming on holiday anytime soon.

Hi Fran

We're flying Jet2 from Manchester. We'll be the couple with a very excited 5 year old! (His dad's quite excited as well, though!)
