hey - made the move this year, back in scotland now!
my advice? Dont do it unless you're 100% sure and 100% ready, try to get accomodation and work sorted before you go, and try to keep an open mind.

Thanks for the advice. I'm planning on making a few trips over before I move just to look for work etc, don't really mind what work I do.

Yes, it's a big step... and like Nickynack says - it's best to have done your preparation first. It's not always easy to get a job here before you arrive unless you already know someone... but hey, if you're going to be visiting lots, then that's your chance to get known.
