Don't know about bike sorry. Have been many times in December but only the last week (New Year) and it's always been generally good (not baking hot, but I've managed a tan each time). I've heard a few times it was really rainy the weeks before I arrived. The worst I've experienced was Jan '09. I'm doing Novemebr this year so keep your fingers crossed for me and I'll do same for you.

I believe that Papagayo Bikes do twist and go's. They are in the plaza opposite the church. I didn't find them friendly or helpful last week though, but I think they were more friendly when my daughter spoke to them.

There is also are firm called MOTO. I never found out if they do daily/weekly hire or tours though. They are up a side street about 200 yards from Papagayo Bikes.

There is also a guy above where the Taxis sit at the harbour. He is branching out from normal bikes to quads and twist and go's. You would need direct contact with him to find out what he has to offer.

oh yeh zengs theres nothing worse than a bit of rain to ruin your holiday. Im praying for ye that the weather remains calm and peaceful

Oh I thank you Clappit. Your words are very comforting to me as I'm fretting something terrible about the weather when I get there. I don't want to spend my time in a bookies betting on nags or be stuck in my apartmentos struggling to get internet connexion on some daft mare's laptop or listening to bad tunes on an ipod whilst slugging cheap Eristoff all holiday and not being able to escape frae headnippers. hahaha
