Hello debs...i have now been living here nearly 5 weeks...yes living here (costa tequise) and working,
and working hard at that...as to try and give you some advice on wot to bring! well dont even think i got that right?...got a good deal through thomas cook extra baggage allowance,be carefull dont go over the 20 kilos per case!..i packed one case with clothes, and the other with personal bits..it all adds up weight wise..were is it you will be living in carmen?..
i found out that i didnt need hairdryer or iron as to were i am!..glad i brought sheets and pillowcases tho even tho the pillows are strange sizes!...my firend at work did mention woodside removals...you will find him in the lanzarote gazette..so i believe that he goes back and forward to the uk with his van..
ideal if you wont to bring boxes over etc..hope that helps
Abs

I can also recommend excess baggage with Thomas Cook.
When we moved over to Fuerteventura we took 180 kilos in baggage & did a really good deal with TC. Think it came to £90. That would be the cheapest way if it is just personal possesion.
Three of our giant cases were just filled with toys.
As Abs said, make sure you dont go over 20 kgs per case.
You can bring any delicate stuff in your hand luggage.
Good luck xx

Thomas cook have always been the best, try thomsons also ring their call centre and explain and they can do you a deal, but remember to add everything up the cheapest flight is not always the best when you have ecess baggage as that can cost youmore in the long run. If you have big stuff call or email C&K haulage i have used them a few times and they are good and your stuff is fully insured and done correctly.
