So I've been to Playa Blanca a lot over the past 2 years, and have always stayed at Faro Park, great villas, private pools, quiet, when we're not wandering home drunk at 4 in the morning, apologies to Faro Park residents for that.
One of the supermarkets at Faro Park has extended and now has a larger range of stuff. We didn't have to bother going to Hyperdino on this trip. Must also mention the Lighthouse Cafe and The Snug, we're always made to feel welcome, and good homecooked food. Loved the veggie lasagne :0) And they do takeaway pizzas too.
It's a lovely walk along the prom into town, takes about 45 minutes tops. Taxis are easy to get, and now there is also a regular bus into town too.
Took up Elle's recommendation of Transylvania restaurant at La Mulata near Hotel Rubicon. About 15 to 20 minutes walk. Lovely meal, great food, huge portions and fantastic staff. Paid our usual visit to Manea cocktail bar, pretended we were in Miami

Again great staff and fabby cocktails, the food is good too. Lovely croissants in the morning, no we didn't stay there all night!
The tapas restaurant next to the Mexican restaurant in Playa Blanca is great, you can sit outside on the terrace and watch the ferries going back and to from the port. Again lovely staff and great value for money, and we always enjoy the honey liqueur at the end of the meal...hic!
Would like to say a big thanks to the staff and customers at Legends who were there on Friday 13th March. Us 4 mad women in sparkly hats had a brilliant time making a fool of ourselves at karaoke, a birthday to remember. The reason we staggered home at 4 in the morning!!!
