Hi guys,

My friend and I are considering coming over to PDC at New Year time. I was just wondering if you Lanza regulars could let us know what to expect at that time of year. We're coming over to PDC in October for the 3rd time so we know its always busy regardless of what time of year (We've been in Feb and August before).
We were just wondering what it would be like at Hogmany and the week after. The prices are really pricey for Hogmany so we were even considering coming over on the 3rd Jan but was wondering if everything would be quiet seeing as the big events would be over by then? Is everything still open? Is it busy or would be better coming for the Festival instead? We tend to go to Centro most nights so any info on their and the surrounding areas would be appreciated.
Thanks in advance. :D

Hi Chez

I come over to Lanzarote about 3 or 4 times a year (absolutely love the place) and came over last year for the first time for New Year. We came out on 30th and returned on 4th Jan and the place was buzzing.

We stopped in the old town and spent most of the time around the harbour area and San Miguel bar but did venture onto the main strip a couple of night, new year eve in particular and I haven't seen so many people in all my life.. Centro was packed.

About 2am there's fireworks on the beach following by a big fiesta on the main avienda.

It may be pricey but I would definately recommend it as its well worth the extra expense. I've had my flights booked to return this new year since May and can't wait for December to come already!!!
