We are staying in Playa Blanca for the first time this New Year and we would like to book a really nice restaurant for new years eve. We like small intimate places, maybe overlooking harbour? Any suggestions would be appreciated, along with a telephone number to pre-book if possible. What happens New Year - is there a firework display?

Thanks in advance

Jeffel

Not overlooking the harbour but can really recommend Romantica. A bonus is they are not rip off prices either.

Hi Jeffel. Terence is spot on with Romantica - it comes very highly recomended... as does Aromas which is by the Hiperdino.

Another really nice intimate one is L'Artista - and it has a balcony so you can watch the fireworks, and listen to the waves lapping at the shore. It's right on the seafront. Do book though - and reserve your table that night. Tel: 928 517 578

Yes, there are fireworks at the Marina, and lots of the staff from the bars and restaurants along the seafront come out and let them off too. The ships in the harbour honk their horns for ages... and then the night starts!

Last New Year's we went to a friend's bar until just before midnight - and we headed onto the seafront to watch the fireworks (if it's clear, you may be able to see Fuerteventura's too - I can't remember). Then we too a stroll and ended up in a bar close to the port - sitting outside talking to every nationality that would join in lol. Prepare for a late night ;-)

My recommendation is Romantica or Aromas, then down to the beachfront for the music and drinks.
L'Artista is a Pizza/Pasta place and don't really like you hanging in there too long as they need to turn the tables over. The other 2 the table is yours.
