What are the best clubs in PDC and does anybody have any contacts for the clubs as I normally like to try and get myself a set booked in for when i am on holiday, I like djing in as many places as possible but would like to try and sort something before I go. Obviously i wont be charging for the set i do it for the buzz more than anything

Pete Tong? with all due respect Im sure Puerto Del Carmen's nightclubs and DJ's can survive without you and your arrogance this summer turning up believing you can just stroll in and take over, why dont you and your chavvie friends try Magaluf instead

To be fair there was no need for that reply, I asked for some info for something I do when I go away. Nobody mentioned anything about taking over anything. I like what I do and like a change when am away. Am not trying to take over anything and ya response makes you seem a bit of a prick

Focker wrote: Haha, thanks for that. I will have a look around see what I can find. I DJ an awful lot and if someone visiting town contacts me to offer some free services then I would at least listen to demos etc. For someone gigging everyday a couple of hours with someone gigging for ya free is a blessing

I understand your passion for DJ'ing djh3ffr however; consideration should be taken when offering your gig for free to the clubs Lanzarote or anywhere else for that matter. You giving away a couple of hours set basically means that a resident local DJ is missing out on his/her pay for what could have been their set. Just food for thought buddy. Enjoy your trip to Lanza.

A would only do it if the DJ was the one gettin paid. A don't want somebodys wage for this and a wouldn't do it if someone lost out

Also this is Lanzarote not Ibiza....there aren't any clubs....not ones that you pay to get into at least not outside of Arrecife.
Majority of venues are just large bars with a dance floor. Caesars is prob the biggest but has identity issues!
You may have a passion of DJing but unless you have a passion for RnB and the latest top 40 you will struggle.....we're not talking cutting edge sounds here.
Not quite sure why Danair took such offence....!

Not quite sure why Danair took such offence....! No idea, I was only asking advice. The type of stuff I play is different from the usual Ibiza stuff so that's not a problem. Its commercial anyway so nothing anybody wouldn't hear everyday on the radio just dance remixes of them all mixed up .

Ive been a club dj for 16 years ( house / trance etc ) when Im playing or running a night, you get people doing your head in, gis a go, im brilliant, i'll do it for free etc etc etc. Their politley told where to go. If your an aspiring dj m8, you should know by now it is a very difficult game to get noticed or even pick up gigs no matter how good you are. Getting gigs abroad for the dj's gigging abroad have probably took years of handing out demos etc before they got the chance. What makes you think someone is going to let someone they dont know from adam, in charge of thousands of pounds worth of sound equipment. Ive seen top name dj's blow systems. I dont mean to be offensive, but in the cut throat world of the dj circuit there are ways to go about it. Turning up with your cd case asking to have a go isnt the way to do it. You would have better luck contacting clubs and sending them demos with an offer of a free set before you get to the place. That way, at least they know what style you play, wether or not you can actually mix etc. Youd be amazed how many people by a set of turntables and all of a sudden they are "DJ" numbnuts.

Ya exactly right and if someone turned up at my gig and asked to be let on then I know the response they would get. I wanted the names of clubs which av now got. I will try and contact some people and if anythin comes of it then good. If not then am out there for a holiday not to get work so no skin off my nose
