Hi everyone, only 7 more sleeps till we fly out !!! 8)8)8)

Very excited!! anyway, i was looking for things for us to do cause all we do is lie on beach or round pool (not that i'm complaining! :D)and have found out there is a water park in costa teguise (sp?), has anyone been? reviews on websites seem to be mixed and it also seems quite expensive.

has anyone got any views? is it worth a day out?

many thanks
Lisa xxx :)

Lisa,
It’ll probably cost you over £50 for a family of 4, but you can spend the whole day there if you want for that, you’ll also have to get to and from C/T from PDC. Lockers, sunbeds and umbrellas (not much shade otherwise) are extra but reasonable (except that you’ve paid once !) as is the bar and café.
I’m told by aficionados that is doesn’t compare well with other water parks, personally I find it a bit dangerous and there’s been some recent rumours regarding the quality of the water.
It’s up the hill at the back of C/T and it can get a bit blowey up there as well.
So, it’s not my favourite place, I find it pricey and I worry about potential accidents but having said that your girls (as my kids did) will love it.
Cheers - Ole

Lisa,
Yes there's plenty of smaller slides and splash pools for the very young.

BTW, here's some reviews not too recent and not too good either:-

Thanks ole, might give it a miss, sounds a bit dodgy :( and can't take the risk with the little ones.

Stick to the main beach´s. Kids will always find things to do. Beach´s near Matagorda have rock pools etc. Beach´s nearer to PdC harbour are rocky and have piers for the braver to jump off etc

And they are free!

the water park isnt florida or UK standards even, but my kids love it there, and the heaps of others we have seen there do as well. If you are someone who likes tip top then you wont like it. Putting it bluntly!
when I just had one child and was far more scared of everything I wouldnt go, now with a second and an understanding that they are actually pretty tough I enjoy going. we dont go loads but a few times over the summer hols was a big treat for the girls and a good days sunbathing for me - theres a nice pool and the shallow bits are fine for the little ones (my youngest was two this summer). Just dont expect centreparcs!!
