You've chosen a beautiful part of the island. I'm not too hot on the shops and restaurants, although there are some lovely fish restaurants, am sure there are plenty on the forum that can help you with that. As for the area itself its stunning, Mirador del Rio is magnificent on a clear day. Caleton Blanco beach is lovely and also safe. There are the Cuaves del los Verdes ( lovely caves with a surprise at the end), Jameos del Agua which are also lovely and well worth a visit. You Have Manrique's house, which is built in a volcanic bubble which i found facinating. There are many lovely villages including Haira, Mala, Guatiza, and my favourite Arrieta, where you can sit on the little prom eating Tapas to your hearts content, I hope you have a lovely holiday. :)

Cant wait for the Lanza trip, just me and her !! Going to El Cotillo in Fuerte on 7th July. 5th time there, love the quietness and heat and sunsets. You ever tried Fuerteventura Dopeydrawers ?

Hi Peter,

Yes i went to Fuerteventura about 17 years ago, i loved it. But then I discovered Lanzarote and fell in love with it. We are booking today for an extra holiday in Lanza beginning of Sept, cant wait, we have been around 12 times now and i never tire of it. i keep trying other places but always end up going back there :D
