Hi all - coming over to Lanzarote for the first time in a couple of weeks and staying in Playa Blanca at the Bahia Blanca Rock. Just wondered if anyone can recommend any bars and restaurants around the accommodation. Am I right in thinking there are two main Commercial Centres in Playa Blanca - the CC Papagayo and the CC Punta Limones ? Are these the only areas where there are shops, bars and restaurants or are they dotted around the resort as well ? Any info and advice would be much appreciated Andy

Try Don Camillo II or Rincon Playa on the pedestrian front. Both have great food.

There are plenty of bars and shops linking the two commercial centres,, Restaurants mainly along the front and shops on the road behind this. You will like Playa Blanca, it is lovely.

Thanks for the replies - we are really looking forward to this holiday as everyone has said how nice Playa Blanca is - others in the family group who we are travelling with have been before several times. Thanks Andy

Best bar in Playa Blanca is the Irish Anvil. Beside the Ferry port. Always a great atmosphere day and night. Food is delicious and always a friendly face behind the bar

Think that is rather over egging it.....its bar food not in the michelin guide...they can do a decent bacon sarnie and guiness....
I liked a lot of the newer bars by the playa dorada beach - the commercial centre where the anvil is starting to really look its age now.
If you fancy something a bit different try the galleria bar up near the church which has a great view and no live music (which is a bonus in my view...) Also great italian next door which we like after we've had the fresh fish for 5 days in a row!

The Anvil is nice and the food is good quality, drinks are a bit pricey though. For eating it's hard to beat the "Tipico Canario" along the front just before you turn to walk past the half built hotel, there's a chinese next door. It's very reasonably priced and the food is excellent. Try the Sea Bass!
A friend of ours has a bar opposite the chursh, upstairs and it's called The Fiddler, Alex, who owns and runs it, is the best musician on the island bar none. We've had some great nights in there.

Sorry Lanza king but am pretty sure i put a few bar suggestions in my post - especially if Andy isn't a fan of 1 man and a guitar doing karaoke style of entertainment.
Also try the quatre lunas jazz bar behind the princessa hotel.
Must admit even though its further to go for me the dorada beach commercial centre after taking time to get going seems to have much more going for it than the port commercial centre where the anvil is.
Think they rather killed it when they totally changed the layout of the bar couple of years ago - the stone cladding indoor look ain't great! But then thats just my opinion!!
Rooftops is good for a game of darts and pool too!
