It's some 5 years since we visited PB and due there next week. Last time we drove to the Papagayo beaches some days but found the road a bit testing for a rental car. Is it still the same? Also, is there still a restauarnt on the headland there - and do they do Sunday paellas? Are some of the bays still clothing optional?

It's all about the same really.

They periodically scrape the road when it gets too bad - but we reckon it's still better than many UK roads!

The cafe at the headland changed hands I think. It seemed to go more Spanish, so I think Paella is always an option now.

Beaches are the same, although I have noticed the sand is on the move.

We also will be there next week - so let the sun shine! :D
