Hi,

I am returning to PDC after 10 years so I can imagine that the area has changed dramtically, I went twice 10 yrs ago with a group of friends but I am now returning with my children, was wondering what there was to do with the kids ie Days out, bars, restaurants etc that cater for the kids and what the current weather is at the moment out there, BBC weather is sooo vague, I looked on there last year before I left for Turkey and it said it was 31 but actually was over 40 so i tend not to believe it so much, so if anyone has just come back and could tell me i'd be grateful!
Also staying at the Plaza Palmeras if anyone has any information about this property.

Thanks in advance

Kids will always be treated as special in ANY restaurant you go into. Try Google Earth for a "walk" down the front, just stick in "Puerto del Carmen" and then enjoy the views.

Depends on the age of your kids, Timanfaya captivates from age 5 onwards, beach's are fun, pedalo's in the shape of swans etc (plenty and more sunblock), small rock pools towards Matagorda area, Ducks and fish in the harbour, rancho texas for the small zoo, play area and park at the first travel interchange in Arrecife (short 25 min journey) etc.

Ahhh,

Thank you for your information, I did infact take a 'walk' on street view but to be fair my computer is playing up a bit so it stalls and I gave up after a while. My children are both 9 so as long as the weather is good they should be happy enough with a few ice lollies and a bucket and spade hehe
Sounds like they'll be well catered for!

Just enjoy Lanzarote.

I feel your kids at 9 would love a full tour (shame I don't do them anymore!!! ) of the Island.

But Puerto del Carmen will have lots of interest for them. Lay back (best you can with kids), relax and go with the flow.

Maybe take them to top floor of Gran hotel in Arrecife. They will be welcomed and the food/snacks are VERY reasonable, views spectacular!

No probs :D

Meant to say the "hill" which is Calle Anzuelo is nothing by PDC standards, it's a steep incline and then levels out at your apartments.

You could always call in Spenders bar, halfway up the hill.
A warm welcome from there. :D
