Hello,

I have holidayed in Lanzarote throughout my whole childhood up to my early 20's and am now revisiting after 8 years or so (which I'm so excited about) and am looking forward to showing my husband and children where I spent so much of my life! The one place I'd really like to visit is an ice-cream shop that we always went to but I'm not sure it's still there.... it was at the very end of Avenida de las Playas on the left on the way to the old town... past the Fariones on the left, all the way to the end and on the corner was an orange supermarket, opposite what used to be the 'Insula' and you could walk through to behind the supermarket where there were a few shops, and down some steps on your right was an ice-cream shop. I can still smell it! Does anyone know if this is still there?? I have a feeling it's not but I really hope I'm wrong!

hi daniray know exactly where you mean,tell me was it spanish owned there is a little cafe type place,lovely coffee,sandwiches
the like think i did notice the ice-cream. but it is very popular with the locals,and cheap well worth a visit.

Yes it was Spanish owned, and come to think about it I think it was a cafe, I only remember the amazing lemon and stawberry icecream! When we used to go there I think it was a bottle Green colour shop and had tables outside. Ooh I hope it's the same plaxe! So glad you could work out whereabout I was talking about, I was worried it didn't make any sense!
