I have recently returned from my first trip to PDC and loved every minute. I did not want to get on the plane to come home. went with some of my girly friends and got to chill in the sun for 2 weeks. sat by the pool most of the time and should have gone to the beach more for a better tan. visited the teguise market which was good (not great with a hangover tho! haha) and really needed longer there as didnt get to look at everything, although there are lots of stalls selling very similar things, almost felt like couldnt haggle with some of the stalls ( but this is prob because havent really done it before!) we visited centro atlantico probably every other night and yes you may get hassled by the pr, but we took full advantage of all the freebies on offer. we got to know quite a few of the pr and bar managers and they really looked after us, it was one of the girls birthdays and on the monday it was ladies night at tequila bar, we said we would go there and they got the birthday girl a cake and made a real fuss over us. Yes i may of been a victim of the old holiday romance but all i can say is i had a wicked time, and would definatly go back. Going on this holiday has really made me want to move away and has given me really itchie feet!

Glad you had a good time, PDC is certainly a place where people can enjoy themselves, Just out of interest, you weren't staying at the Rocas Blancas were you ?, there was a group of girls there when we were there, just over a week ago (about 10 days) and they were by the pool most days Anyway, glad to hear a nice report and that someone loved every minute ! Happy Holidays Danny

However, the inference of the 'f' word on here was a bit crass. Skip the profanity please. But at least she enjoyed her hols and that's what counts.

Great to hear you had a good time megafreckles. "Moving over" is a common feeling when people return from their holidays in Lanzarote. I'm sure you don't need anyone to tell you that holidaying on the island is very different to working and living on the island. As with so much in life, you should gauge what you would achieve against what you'd have to sacrifice to achieve it. Good luck either way...

Danny - hiya, no we wernt staying at the rocas blancas, we went over on the 16th sept and stayed at the acuario sol apartments, and like i said it was fab!
Danair1973 - as my comment seemed to offend you so much i have removed it, but i do not for one minuite appreciate your nasty comments about me when you do not have one single clue about the sort of person i am, and i am NOT a ladette OR vile thank you very much. I came onto this site to air my view on lanzarote not to be insulted.
szorbino - sorry for the use of the 'f' word, i have removed it and will try not to use it again!
Pub spy - I know that people often get 'holiday blues' after having such a lovely time away and i know that things would be very differant if i was to move abroad. One of my friends is off travelling next month and it is something i have always wanted to do and part of me wishes i would of done it years ago, but situations change and i think that i am more ready in alot of ways to do something like this, and it is something i have been thinking about more seriously for a few months now. But it is not something that i will be taking lightly or doing over night as i have alot to consider/sort out and things i would be giving up if i do decide to do this. Im possibly thinking that more the travelling thing maybe the way to sort out my itchie feet so that i get to see lots of places, but lanzarote will definatly be one place i will return one way or another and i would love for it to be for longer than just a two week holiday!

Err how old are you Danair? 36 by your profile name but 66 by the sounds of things.
I am f**king off to Lanza in 3 weeks - does that make my daughter a chav and my wife a laddette then?
How did women used to behave just out of interest? I don't really think it appropriate that they should be at home all day, ironing our socks and making sure dinner is on the table when we get home from work.
Ironic to be discussing feminism in the week of the 40th anniverary of the Female Eunuch being published....!

Well Foodie I dont know about anything else but you certainly sound a complete prat, if you want to f***** go to Lanzarote in 3 weeks as you put it good for you sunshine and does that make you a chav? probably, your mentality certainly is that of a 3 year old, all agressive at the slightest criticism on this forum, but megafreckles I thank you for removing your F word and Im sure your an extremely nice girl and by the way everyone who has half a brain unlike foodie I do expect women to behave in a feminine manner and that does not mean ironing, washing, cooking and cleaning, far from it but what it does mean is not be using foul language and being uncouth and if that makes me old fashioned so be it, Im guilty

Well thats the danger of the internet and message boards isn't it? The way people write these days and how they act is totally different - look at twitter for example (a recent social networking trend that even fuddy duddies have picked up on... ) By criticising someones perceived behaviour and then raising yourself above those perceptions is bound to generate a hostile response - or at least a tongue in cheek one which you didn't pick up on. And you're so shallow that one minute someone is a laddette yet the moment they edit out an F word they become an extremely nice girl?!! My assumptions are that you spend much time in carmen so clearly are a football shirt wearing beer swilling monster.....
