Hello all

Looking forward anxiously to my first Lanzarote holydays ever come october.

Will be arriving on a sunday morning. Planning on eating out lunch and dinner on sunday, but would like to have breakfast in the appartment on monday.

Are supermarkets in PDC open on sundays? What's the selection like (all I really need is bread, some yoghurt and /or cheese, instant coffee and some fruit, guess I'll find that in any supermarket)

Are there any shops on the island worth visiting for an avid fountain pen collector (of both modern and antique pens)?

Greetings

Miguel

Most supermarkets are open sundays, some close for a few hours in the mid afternoon.

Try Arrecife, the main street, C/leon y Castillo it has a few decent shops that will sell (probably not antique) but good quality fountain pens. Even seen some in the tobacco shops on that main street.

Thanks for the info. Won't have any trouble then finding a place to stock up on the breakfast essentials.

I'll just have to accompany the girls on their shopping trip to C/Leon y Castillo, but hey, if there's something in it for me too, then why not?

Greetings
Miguel

That will be ok, as you walk up the main street, look to your right up the first 2/3 side streets.
Lovely tapas bars serving serious tapas and also lovely wines and beers.
Let the wonderful ladies shop whilst you relax in the tapas bars. (Don't let them alone with your credit card!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! )

Also, San Francisco tapas bar on the main street is superb with a massive choice of tapas. Try there, it is superb and cheap. Look for the tables with umbrellas.

Great advise, Cymmon. That way we'll all be supporting the local economy in our own way...

Greetings
