Just home from holiday and already booking flights for October !!

Just wanted to let you know the best english breakfast in costa is at Popeyes bar. You wont be dissappointed as the food is excellent all british products and cups of tea to die for !! Scott and Gill who run the bar are great people to chat too and will always give you places to see on the island.

Portobello italian restaurant is without doubt the best evening meal.Pasta pizza or steaks this is lovely place to be and food is wonderful.

Both places can be found in the las Cucharas shopping centre !! let me know what you think !!!!!

Popeyes is through throught the shopping centre las cuchars opposite loz zocus apparments,if you walk through Nettos and turn left its there opposite the bungjee jump trampolines. They also show the football, rugby, racing and also take bets.

The shopping centre is green and white and at the other end from where you stayed amy...we went up to that end one evening and had a chinese as there seems to be loads to chinese restaurants up there but will try the hour glass when we go back in october !!!

Number one has to be Mahatma Cote Indian, used to be around rusholme (or those with no knowledge of manc its 2 miles of Indians) and still prefer the food in Mahatma Cote.
New web site at http://www.MahatmaCote.zapto.org

Other best meals are from Paradise up stairs where saxos and sports bar are.
And a small restaurant in Playa Bastian called Casa Juan, totally typical Canarian food, lots of tapas and some amazing steaks

I can totally agree with that, Mahatma Cote is a gorgeous indian restaraunt!
The Glass house was nice, but its apparently changed hands and isnt as nice anymore (I've heard, not experienced!)
El Patio is quite nice, and they do a suckling pig there also, which is a bit different!
There is also a chinese resaraunt opposite the Red Lion / Lively Ladies which is very nice, and unfortunately the name escapes me! But there are 2 gold lions out the front, with a circular table as you walk in, which is the best table in there, as the roof opens up and the tables centre rotates!
Oh no wait - its the Shang Hai!!

what else.....Dona Lolas is a nice place, lovely ocean views, and a v nice steak.

Also try el Guarapo's lamb special, great value for money!

For drinks, Dickens is lovely, if a tad expensive. but they have freshly squeezed juice, which is be-a-u-tiful!

Las Maretas is lovely too but you need to book a table its in the Las Maretas shopping centre next door to the Indian, it is tucked up in the corner.

Also for Value for money Coffee and Cream two meals for 12.90 Euro all home cooked by the John and Zoe who make you really welcome, brilliant if you are on a budget.

You can find Coffee and Cream in the little sq behind the Police Station opposite the big carpark by the post office and Pet the vets.

Back from CT on 26th July :(:(. We ate in different place every night and found standard of food excellent. Best Restaurant we found has to go to Il Patio but we also enjoyed Mastil, Lani's Cantini, Portafino and Jumbo Chinese.

I have just returned from CT and I would recommend The Jug and Platter for the best home cooked meals ever! They even do real chips not frozen!
Billy and Treena are the best.
