Hi - just got back after a fantastic week in Playa Blanca.
It was our first trip to Lanzarote and we enjoyed every minute.
We stayed HB at the Bahia Blanca Rock which was excellent accommodation in a good location, about five minutes walk from Dorada Beach.
We walked up to Rubicon Marina for the market and went back one night for drinks - what a lovely place.
Walked along the front as far as Timanfaya Palace which was great as well, lots of shops to look in and stopped off at The Irish Anvil for a quick pint.
Got the bus back and got off right utside our hotel.
Went to the Lanzarote Princess a couple of nights to see the entertainment there - and also watched a couple of football matches in Paddy Macs bar - nice little bar !!
We liked Playa Blanca as a resort and will go back - its not spoiled and I have just realised that not one PR tried to get me in a bar the entire week - nor did I have the dubious pleasure of been given a winning scratchcard -- what a refreshing change.
A lovely resort - long may it stay that way.

Thats why we bought there!!!! We love it in PB and go there for the school holidays. We also like PDC, thats where we used to stay before we got the villa but after 8.30 ish its nothing but hassle walking up the Avienda.

I agree, the Marina is lovery by day or night, and it's good exercise and a nice walk from the town itself to the Marina and back. We try and do it every morning!
