Hi We are going to Playa Blanca in Jan/Feb and would like to hire a villa. My father needs somewhere near to the sea and close to some restaurants because he cannot walk very far. Can anyone suggest a nice area to look? Cheers! Nic

Las Brisas would be ideal, the complex itself is pretty flat and it's within walking distance of the main part of the town.
Another place nearby would be Casas Del Sol, which I'd highly recommend but some of the villas are up a steep hill, although if you could get one near the reception it would be perfect.

Thank you so much.
These look great, but is there anywhere else where we can look which will have a private pool?

Nic There aren't many villas with private pools near the town. We hired this one last year and can highly recommend it but it's about 15 minutes walk to town. http://www.luxuryvillaslanzarote.com/co ... gayo_1.htmTry e-mailing bawbee, he will help you.

....and don't forget to negotiate!
Jan Feb is the quietest time of year for rentals so make sure you negotiate hard - you should be able to pick up a bargain as many owners pretty desperate for lettings. If you don't ask you don't get!

Well I wouldn't really discuss your negotiating technique in public!
Lets say substantial! There is no point being shy!

Oh dear, what another load of nonsense. Ever tried getting a last minute villa in mid February? Full up signs for the past few years, including this year. Don't believe me? Try it then.

Really? We are. We need two extra villas as having a party out there in Feb and having absolutely no problem hammering down prices.
Prob best to admit that you are a property agent and not really in your best interest for people to know that your prices are totally negotiable is it?

I've never paid the price asked 1st time for any villa I've hired in Lanzarote, even in July.
Playa Blanca is teeming with villas, the competition to rent them out is fierce, if one owner won't play ball then go to the next one. They all know an empty villa brings in no income.
