<font face="Times New Roman"><font size="2"> I stayed there last year and we had a lovely holiday. We went late Sept/early Oct and although it was well occupied, it was always quiet and peaceful. The bungalow was clean and the beds comfortable, linen was changed on a regular basis and maid came in most days. We didn't use the pools (one of which was under repair) but there seemed to be ample sunbeds for everyone.

We didn't eat on site as there are 5 or 6 restaurants across the road and down the slope on the seafront. There is a small bar which also has seating outside. The staff were friendly and helpful. There are also three supermarkets near the restaurants.

Yes they could have done with a lick of paint here and there but then it is not surprising with the heat out there.

There is a small walled area at the back of each bungalow where you can hang out washing and an iron and ironing board is available free of charge from reception. There is a hob with two rings, toaster, kettle and fridge but no oven. As we didn't eat in, that was not a problem to us. The patio had 2 sunbeds, brolly, table and 3 chairs.

It is a 20 minute stroll into the centre of Playa Blanca, either along the road or the lovely promenade.

Hope you have a great time Julie and that it is as good as last year. We might have been neighbours as we were looking to go back this year, but they no longer accept bookings on the day flights go from our local airport. Thomson and Portland dropped it from their brochure for some strange reason and put it with Airtours. From what I saw last year there was not a lot for kids, a playground and pool but that was about it. IMHO kids would be happier across the road at the Playa Flamingo apartments as there seemed to be lots going on there. The bar is tiny but they do have tables outside.

We never actually went into the centre of PB in the evenings as after walking about all day my feet wouldn't take me again lol.

We used the restaurants down the slope from the bungalows in the evenings and found them all pretty good. I think my favourite was the one at the end of the row after you turn right (it is slightly higher up that the others). There is also a Chinese one upstairs at the bottom of the slope. Food was lovely but service could be hit and miss.

Yes we are going back but staying nearer the centre of PB which will be something different. We might even make it to the marina as well as I believe there are some good restaurants there. It was our first visit last year and we got out and about to different areas in case we didn't go back again. We just liked the peace and quiet of PB but I am afraid I cannot recommend any "night spots" as we needed rest and relaxation and that's exactly what we got.

Hi Julie

Just wondered how you found the Limones this year. We had a look at it when we were in PB recently and noticed that things had changed since last year. There seemed to be completely different staff and the girl on reception in the morning was unable to answer a basic question about accepting bookings on Thursdays..........told us to come back at 7pm when there would be someone to answer that question. They had also built a Sports Bar although it didn't look enticing.
