hi all, coming to lanza for crimbo and the new year, can't wait. was there for a month last october and had a brill time, just wondering has the credit crunch may'd a difference on price's in the resturants and the tat shops. also have been everywhere on lanza or so we think, has anyone got any hidden gems ie place's to go and things to see, does'nt matter if not as we just love it, can't wait to get back to mama rosa , and a nice bit of fillet steak at the playa blanca mmmmm.

Maybe try the Agricultural Museum in Tiagua or the museum Tanit in San Bartolome?

I have not seen any changes in restaurant prices over the last year...

A few more shops closed down though, - the latest being the Jeweler in the westmost and last building on the waterfront promenade before entering the ferry harbour area.

And it is indeed very quiet out here right now...

But then Night Club Lulu was closed down by the police recently, - may be that's why....

"Night club" lulu has been closed for ages! Had to explain to the Mrs prob not the sort of place we should go for a dance! Haven't hit rock bottom yet!

Have you tried El Chupadero in La Geria? Really cool bodega run by a german couple. Certainly not a coach party sort of place!

They do fantastic tapas and run excellent intimate concerts at sunset!
Highly recommended!

There are some bargains about and WAX bar is offering a 2 euros pint (the cheapest in Playa Blanca) - not sure how long it is on for but most bars charge 3.50 so a good deal.
And of course ourselves we now offer an early bird menu until 7pm with two courses for 12 Euros! Now I wouldn't expect you to come over and barter in the bars and restaurants but do look out for some of the offers available - I'm sure some more locals might give you some pointers!
