We've just returned from CT and we were quite surprised how busy it was, bearing in mind the comments that have been made about global recession having a huge effect.
There wasn't a sunbed to spare on the main beach and it was still really busy at 7pm. People were waiting for tables at a number of restaurants (mainly the Hacienda and the new Italian on the outskirts of the square) and all of the other restaurants we went into (Portofino, Maestro, Pardela to name but a few) all had a steady flow of people through.
On a couple of nights, it was very hard to get a seat in a bar in Pueblo Marinero however, this may be because it is now generally €1.50 for a large beer in every bar - businesses look to have reduced their prices and some are diversifying to get extra trade.
One thing that we did notice was that there were a lot more Spanish there than in previous years. Maybe there has been more of a marketing push internally.
Anyway, it was good to see!
