Hi Would like to echo another post by our fellow forum member LLoydius in the Costa Teguise section back in May:
But, where the hell is everyone?????? We have just returned from our holiday in Playa Blanca (admit our first time but....) and there are obviously people around because the beach was busy and Timanfaya was packed but at night when we went out in Playa Blanca or the Marina there was hardly anyone around, is it
a) low season in June??? or b) its the euro and everyone staying in and doing own food?
not that there were many people at Hiperdino buying food either !!!!
oh, and where do you buy lamb from? we did quite a few bbqs but could not find lamb anywhere...!

i have not had a problem finding lamb..ask for cordero. playa blanca has always been the quietest of the three main resorts especially if you want nightlife.

Thanks Trev, will know what to look for next time.
It wasn't nightlife, as we have a young family, it was just that there were no people in the restaurants or if there was only a few, hardly anyone walking around, only a few people in the shops, on our complex there were only a few occupied. Don't get me wrong its not a complaint, we love Playa Blanca, and loved Casas del Sol where we stayed and wouldn't have wanted it crowded but just surprised there weren't more people.

We're here at the moment. I think there are plenty people milling around but they're not going to the bars or restaurants. Most of them have wristbands on. PDC was dead yesterday, worse than PB!

June is always a quiet month in Lanzarote (apart from the global crisis).

Not for me like to get out and about must be having a laugh, aren't you the person who thinks going into a bar using the facilities etc and not buying drinks is ok Anyway back to the topic, it is quieter than usual here but after all there is the 'R' word going on in the world today. However the ones who are here are finding value for money even if the rate is less than 12 months ago, more offers around town with bars and restaurants all doing their bit

We've noticed that it's a lot busier over the last week or so. Remember that holidays to Lanzarote only start to take off for the summer when the kids break up. And as for villa rentals in Playa Blanca versus all inclusive holidays - I don't know too many villas round us that still have vacancies between now and the end of August! Stop moaning and enjoy the sunshine

We are out as a family of 6 for the whole of Auguse and will be getting out and about at night. (not as much as we would like to) but probably 3 times a week.
