I'm sure this topic has been covered before but, looking back, can't find it.

Anyway, as this is our 6th year to Lanzarote we've done many of the regular touristy things but have never done Rancho Texas. Have had a look at their website, seems like you can spend a day there with various stuff going on, and separately can spend an evening there either "Westerns" or "Spanish".

Would be prepared to do all that, wondered about cost (why do they never give you a clue on websites?!) and are the evenings good for a child (10yr old).

Has anyone done it recently? How was it for you? A child's view of it ... good fun / interesting / boring / amazing etc?? The "Eat all you can" - is it buffet, or served and whipped away before you can finish? I only ask because our boy is such a slow eater!

Thanks for all help offered on this ... and only a matter of hours now till we'll be there, like 48 or so! Yippee!!

I went to the Spanish night and it was terrible, nothing other than bad food and boring dancing, I'd doubt the young fella would be too impressed, tbh.

My sister brought her son to the Western night, though and they loved it, he thought it was the best thing about the holiday.

We went to the Western night last year - it was fantastic. They make sure everyone gets something from the buffet (table by table) and then offer it over for seconds once everyone has had some. They take the kids off to a seperate bit for horserides etc. Would definately recommend! :D
