Greetings all. I will be visiting LZ for the first time later this month and would like to know:

What is the most reliable way of receiving BBC Radio Four in LZ? Is the transmission on 198 kHz Long Wave audible in the Canaries, or is it too far south? Is it available on Cable or Satellite? If so, which channels / frequencies?(I am unsure whether my accomodation has any of these, so I have to cover all possibilities). I am relutant to bring my (heavy) laptop, so Internet listening is unlikely.

Ditto for the BBC World Service (in English). What is the most reliable Short Wave frequency in LZ?

Finally, are there any Radio Four addicts among LZ expats? If so, I would be glad to say hello. But maybe you want to escape completely from the antics of Gordon and his gang. If so, I understand...

I can tell you ffor sur you can't get it on the long wave frequency, but maybe with short wave, but that's the world service. If you're staying somewhere with the full Sky package to all rooms (unlikely) you'll be able to get it.
Personally I listen on line.
