Does anyone know why Redz II is shut at the moment? And also what has happened to Tropical Bar next to Ruta? I see something is being built but is it a shop? Oh and the Toby Jug too? Is it all to do with lack of tourists/money?

yeah your right the recession is still really bad here..toby jug shut a while back..redz 2 is struggling a bit i think although dont think its shut for good yet..think tropical is reopening as some sort of shop but not 100% sure

Tropical will be opening as a clothing store any time soon.

Heard the Toby Jug is re-opening with new owners

Tropical was sold and indeed is getting turned into an designer clothes shop. However it's re-opened where ceasars nightclub used to be (end of centro atlantico). It's more a club than a fun bar now though.

Redz II is by far the best bar in Puerto Del Carmen, GUTTED its closed!
Anyone know why?
Real shame cos they had the best staff and everything, wonder if they will all return to the UK or find somewhere else to work out there

Redz 2 was closed for 2 weeks due to paperwork error,we are now back open so dont listen to any of the gossip why we were closed,look forward to seeing all our friends soon!

Good to hear the Toby jug re-opening, it closed whilst we were there earlier this year (maybe christmas) I've got to say Sunset Beach has made an excellent alternative.

Good to hear Redz is still goin, We tried to visit a few times between christmas and 6th Jan this year but must have timed it wrong because it was closed every time we went.

Toby Jug was still shut last week and a for sale sign had only just gone on it.
