Mr Know-it-all here asking for advice.

Are there any cycle hire shops in PdC that hire "road" bikes, not the mountain bike style but the thin wheel, low weight, long distance type things.

As you will probably realise this info is not for me but for someone I have manage to tempt to the Island who loves to cycle.

Revolution Bikes on Calle Doramas had a large selection of cycles for hire when I was over at New Year. I hope this helps.

Thank you, I will get my friend to go take a look.

He does miles in the UK but i've explained there may be a slight temperature difference over in Lanza and to cut down his mileage expectations.

We hired mountain bike type when we were there over christmas from these people. Near friends bar. Some skinny wheelers on their website, if thats the type you mean.

PDC also has a new shop called "ProAction". It is at Los Pocillos roughly opposite Plaza Las Naciones". I went in for a look a few weeks ago and it is quite a modern and stylish shop with good stock. Also there is still "Renner Bike" which is located upstairs on a sort of "Bandstand" on the pavement which is nearish to the Casino heading towards Pocillos.
