Hi guys
New to the forum and also to Lanzarote. I am planning to visit Lanzarote for 10 days at the end of November and will use the holiday as an opportunity to do some warm weather training also.
Any advice on the best resort to go to in terms of running route options and info on what the running is like out there?
Thanks in advance. I will make sure I post my experiences on my return.

Hi, Puerto Del Carmen is a good base as you can run the coastal path to Arrecife which is approx 7 miles. If you wish to run a little further then you can follow the Arrecife 10 k route along the front at Arrecife and then back along the coastal path to Puerto del carmen. The route is along good paths so you shouldnt have a problem.
Going the other way towards Puerto Calero is more of a track but just as interesting and you get to see the sites along the way. I have run to Puerto Calero but never gone any further along the coastal path onece you get to Calero.
If you are going end of November you may want to do the Arrecife Marathon,Half or 10K dependant on where your at with your training. Please check as I do not know whether this is running this year or not. Rumour has it that it is only open to people staying at Club La Santa which I think is a bit Harsh! I have completed the Half and 10 k and both are graet races with good support from locals and the team at Club La Santa including all of their volunteers.
