Do we know the thinking behind the 2.00am flight arrival from Ryanair ? ( apart from financial ! ) Why can't they fly during normal times 7.00am - 12.00 midnight. The extra cost of staffing for this flight alone must be astronomical for the airport. Consider baggage handlers/taxi's/air traffic controllers etc.

Hmmm, I'm not sure what you mean about the "apart from the financial" - this is purely financial!

Ryanair now have a base here, which means their planes will sit on the runway overnight. The extra opening hours allow ryanair to get extra flights in during those hours and therefore keep their planes in the sky for longer and make more money.
They may be able to get 4 flights per day between the Canaries and Northern Europe with those extra hours.
