Hiya Amanda. I am going over to puerto del carmen in june for the 4th time in the last year and we have stayed at las terrazas every time. The apartments are fantastic although quite basic. There ar5e safes in the rooms and they are 6 euros a week with another 6 put down as a deposit. The apartments are pretty safe but I would reccomend you get one just to keep your mind at rest. las terrazas are at the top of what the locals call cardiac hill but it really isn't too bad. The old town is about a 10 minute walk and there are some great bars and restaurants. The new town is another 10 minutes after that where the bulk of the nightlife is. If you cant be bothered with the walk then it is only about 3 euros in a taxi which you can get from the pool bar. Just one more point about las terrazas. As ive already said the actual rooms are quite basic but you couldnt ask for a friendlier or better run set of apartments. Everyone who works there are fantastic. There are two geordies who work at the pool bar so I'm a little biased!! let me know if you have any other questions. 8)

Thanks for that information Craig it is really helpful. Really looking forward to it - counting down the days. Your 4th time in the last year - wow. I must admit if we really like a place we always go back a few times - so hopefully we will return.
Have you booked with a travel agents or done it yourself - just incase we want to go back.
I hope it is really hot for those 11 nights.

Thanks once again

hey amanda,
glad I could be of some help. We booked through a travel agent the first time we went but each time since we have booked privately. A guy called Mario runs the reception and he couldn't be more helpful. We just rang him directly once we got back to the uk and he booked it in for us. and we just payed him once we arrived. flights on the internet are reasonably priced aswel and its only 12-15 euros in a taxi from the airport. I will hunt out some photos and e-mail them to you as soon as possible.

Craig :)
