Does anyone know if there is anywhere in Costa Teguise that you can rent a safety deposit box as I have hear the ones in the hotels are not very safe and they have had lots of break ins.

Thanks
:D

Thanks for your reply I am staying at the Hotetur Puerto Tahiche and there has been some reports of the safes being ripped out of the walls in the apartments. I am not worried about money or travellers cheques but it is our passports and flight tickets that I dont want stolen.

I have been to other coutries before where you can hire a safety depoist box they are usually in the office where you can change money and I was wondering if there was one in Costa Teguise.

I don't know of any place that rents out safes, maybe you could leave things behind at reception. Just a thought, but, wouldn't it be easier for a thief to pick up a safety box, than rip out a safe ?
:)

You do not keep the safety depoist box with you they are keep in a secured lock office that is manned during opening hours usually 9am-9pm when you can access your items and locked up at night with cctv.

Most safety deposit boxes are in the room, hidden in a cupboard somewhere. Don´t worry, it´s totally safe.

I wish I could afford 2 holidays. I was booked into the Lanzarote Bay Hotel for November but since found out it is closing at the end of September for a refit and I have now been put in their sister hotel Hotetur Puerto Tahiche and I was a bit worried as I have heard quite a few bad things about it.
