Hey all,
I already posted this somewhere else but with hindsight it wasn't the best place so just decided to start a new post instead!
Got back from Playa Blanca on Sunday after meeting an amazing guy (as a friend, mainly) who worked in a bar on the seafront heading towards the harbour (not the marina). Dunno what the restaurant was called (even though I ate there most of the week!) but it was sort of joined to a Chinese place as they were owned by the same guy. The guy I met is called Sandy (short for Alessandro) and he'd been in Lanzarote 13 years but was originally from Morocco. He was the head waiter, really friendly with everyone, walking up and down outside getting everyone in etc...
We had a great time together, and have already emailed, but now I'm just a bit paranoid he has a rep.....he admitted he sometimes slept with girls who were on holiday, but it just felt like a bit more than that, and he even said to me "If you were just a nice-time blonde holiday girl I'd tell you that, but I really like you, you've got brains and balls and you make me feel differemt".
This guy has totally stolen my heart - I'm already planning babysitters for my daughter so I can go back after xmas to see him.....am I being an idiot girls?!
Do you know this guy (or even KNOW him?).
Please write back asap, like I said, he seemed special, but,....
Anyways, cheers lovelies
xxx

Sorry for the double-post, but I just remembered something else...on Saturday night we went to a bar called Rooftop, or Rooftops (kind of karaoke-type place with an outside roof terrace) where they take your picture and put it on a TV screen behind the bar. Anyway, the woman who owns the place (I think) seemed to know Sandy. So if anyone knows her, please help!
Thanks
x

Hi Loopy!
Can i ask how long it has been since you returned home and how often this guy has contacted you since? yes, for first couple of weeks or months everything seems perfect and you think you're falling for this guy and making plans to go over and see him again. But then what happens when he meets some other girl and you're thousands of miles away completely unaware?
I don't mean to sound so sceptical i just want you to use your head as well as your heart so you don't end up getting hurt like so many other women.
Love,
Kitty xx

Loopy, We know Sandy, (in fact, we are like family! he calls me his cousin) He is always smiling and happy to see you, we could not comment and his dealings with ' the ladies' however, I am sure you will have a friend (even if thats all it is) for life!!! On the downside..... and Sandy will back me on this too, He is a very naughty boy when it comes to Tequila (drinking it that is!!!), as me and my Husband have found out many a night with him!!! You would think (at our age) we would have learned by now..... Alas no, Sandy's Tequila nights are far too much fun!!!Hope that helps a little Sally & John xxx

I have just returned from Play Blanca and again have spent many an entertaining evening at the restaurant where Sandy is head waiter............. Roof tops and losing at the tequilla challenge all makes for a lot of fun........ Sandy is so entertaining and such good fun, he treats my daughter like an older brother............. Keep up the good work Sandy, you are a true entertainer and albeit a little naughty I suspect!!! Mel

Didn't realise this forum was becoming an agony column! But hey its friday.....
Not quite sure why you are posting this on here because in reality you know the answer surely - you have answered it in you original message!!
You were on holiday, letting your hair down and had a great time. The guy is obviously a nice bloke but has a good time with the ladies - he's only human!
So whats your motivation for going out at xmas - will things have changed - maybe he will have someone else? And isn't it a bit selfish dumping your daughter over the holiday period whilst you are having fun?! Plus flights are bl**dy expensive then?
Realistically is there any future - surely just remember you had a great holiday and move on?
Anyway hope I don't cause too much offense but judging by your first message you seem to be coming round to that way of thinking anyway!
