Hi, I am renting a villa with the wife and kids in a couple of weeks, we will be staying in the Calle Togio area, are there any shops to buy beer, groceries etc nearby, any good restaurants within walking distance.

I'm guessing you are referring to Puerto del Carmen?

I think that's just up from the biosfera shopping centre. If so there's a couple of spars nearby and a hiperdino. None of the in resort supermarkets are the cheapest but good selection of most things. There's loads of restuarants within a 20 minute walk. Nearer the old town places than the strip. Try Tesoro chinese if you keep walking on the left hand side towards the harbour.
