Calling all smokers! I am sick fed up of the anti smoking loonies. If they don't like smoking, stay away from a country where smoking is second nature. Anyway, is everyone familiar with the term flash mob? Well as you can tell, I'm on a rant about the anti smoking brigade trying to impose their rubbish laws on Lanza and I think we should have a Flash Fag one night in a restaurant in PDC in protest. Anyone up for it? 2nd week in November is good for me.

Well that was the idea Foodie. I can't really have a Flash Fag just me and my girls. They are sooooo up for it too by the way. So all you puffers, as Foodie says, please help. Come out of the woodwork, come out with your woodbine and lets flash. I think La bodega would be a good place, Friday 12th of November at 8pm? what does everyone think? If the time doesn't suit or you fancy another restaurant, speak up. x------ooOO

Does anybody remember when this was a site to discuss the beautiful island of Lanzarote?

Renee,

OK, you have your views on smoking. We don't need it constantly rammed down our throats. Believe it or not, this site is to discuss our holiday/living experiences in Lanza, NOT for you to tell us your life story.

I have done you a huge favour by posting a link below. Perhaps you could air your views on this and your fellow posters can all join hands and be happy.

YM

P.S. I smoked for a few years when I was younger, and wasn't really bothered about the ban until I had kids. Now I agree with it 100% - but I wont be telling the world the rights and wrongs of it.

Maybe someone can pre-notify the owner/manager of La Bodega and then the preparations can be made for a clean sweep by the Police?

I don´t smoke but I go into bars where smoking is allowed, I go into restaurants where smoking is not allowed. So maybe this point can be made to people who call non-smokers

. I chose where I go, I don´t like being dictated to.

I lived in Lanzarote for 2 years, and been visiting since 1989, never had problems with not smoking or smoking.

That lot have got the UK stitched up like a bloomin nanny state with their fascist laws and now they want our little havens, our little holidays we work hard for (in countries where there are really strong smoking cultures, turned into the same bloomin state. I tell yer what, If you want to go to a restaurant with out having to 'put-up' with smoking....WELL STAY IN BLOOMIN BRITAIN THEN OR GO TO SOME OTHER UPTIGHT COUNTRY LIKE CANADA.

Perhaps somepeople go on holiday because they enjoy the "clean" air?
Live and let live, have bars/restaurants that allow or don´t allow smoking, or maybe certain smokers want to dictate the rules?????

No need for banning them - if Renee is indicative of the average smoker then he/she gives them all the bad publicity they don't need.

Don't forget Renee that you are in a quite literally a dying minority of people who smoke.....natural selection will slowly take its course...... :D

Ahh, nice to hear genuine words of support, and to see my thread back as one of todays topical hot potatoes. Ooooh Can't wait to get to Lanza and have a big draw of a fag in La Bodega (19 confirmed for the meal now). Yippeee! eeeh oop!

How can it be genuine from a fraud.

I stated clearly i don't mind for or against but then again some people are ALWAYS correct.
Here's hoping for 19 arrests!
