has anyone stayed at the sol morromar before? what is it like?
i know its miles away but you got legs for walking....and taxis when you got your pretty (uncomfy) heels on!!!!!

The Morromar itself is quite a good hotel, And is close to teh bars and restraunts at Matagorda, (Try Steve's Balti House)
However, It is a quiet area and it's a good 30/35 minute walk into PDC and you may not fancy it in the sunshine or as you say in heels on a night out
Good thing is it's only 4 or 5 Euro's in a taxi !

Steves Balti House is closed.

I stayed at the MorrowMar for 2 weeks last October. Very spacious, well equiped, not too busy, helpful staff, nice pools & a jacuzzi, a few ants but nothing that a good spray of Bop! (supplied by Sol & a shameless plug on my part - lol) didn't sort out. Had to quiten down a group of Russians who were skinny-dipping at 4:00am one morning but other than that nice & peaceful. 5 minute walk down the paths in front to the shopping centre & beach, half hour walk into PDC or €3 in a taxi - there is a rank right outside. Plenty of parking space if you hire a car.

I'd stay there again.
