We need a couple of reliable staff to work around Lanzarote selling jewellery at the markets. Our stock is top quality silver & semi precious gemstone jewellery. Must have own transport & be reliable. These are permanant positions, not holiday jobs. One months paid trial. Previous experience useful. You will need to collect stock / stall from Playa Blanca before work & deliver it back afterwards. Refs required. Please PM me your details & a contact number.

Where else can I advertsise these jobs? Can't believe nobody needs work, when all I ever hear about is people not being able to get a decent job? Maybe I should try over the water in Corralejo. Does anybody know of any employment agencies?

Lack of transport able to carry the items? How big are the stalls etc, many people have got rid of cars etc.
Is the job full insurance, tax paid, permanent or cash in hand?

1st month is a trial so cash in hand. After that a contract . 60 euros a shift (7am to 2pm) Expenses paid. Stock is just jewellery in plastic crates & stall tables go in boot or roof rack. Business is market stalls & wholesale jewellery. Also a monthly commision. Easy job. Not too much stress. We also advertised for a cleaner but haven't had much response either. Will go to the town hall to advertise there instead.

How many days a week for the market?
Then payment for cleaner/dog walker etc? To give a monthly income of €?
This is the main point of what people need to know. Expenses, how much and for what can people claim etc. Sorry to be pedantic but things need to be clear.
Many people have been stung in Lanza with "contracts" and lost alot of cash.

Ok, I see. We have been ripped off left, right & centre ourselves, so I understand. The cleaner is 7 euros an hour for 3 hours max , 3 times a week. I think that it would just be cash in hand for the cleaner TBH. 4 or 5 days work. it's not hard work. I think the rates for the market are above & beyond what other people are paying right now but we want to be fair. People have to live after all. I am aware that it is above the average wage for a brit over here. I put the ad on the Gazzette website & now have 12 applicants, hopefully we will find a couple of nice , honest people to help us out. Thanks for your help

No problem, looking at returning to the Island next year, so any jobs???? As you used to be based in Fuerta, I´m sure you know all the pitfalls, but sometimes opening up allows others to take a chance. Some are scared of €4 hr and no contract etc. Think you would be looking for a couple for the cleaner dogwalker job, as every couple of weeks leaving an apartment empty would be , maybe, too much for a single person to do. Good luck on Lanza, I enjoyed my 2 years there. Wish I was over there because I would have looked at it but working in the U at the moment and going to the Phillipines in July, returning in time for next years tourist season.

Wow, sounds good. Your going to have a great summer. I think we have the dog sitter sorted. Well I have had 5 replies, i'll meet them all but they all sound great. Well when your back, say hello because you never know what might be about. We are expanding into wholesale now & it's going nuts. Can't keep up with demand over in Fuerte, hoping it will be the same here. The whole way the British people treat fellow brits regarding employment is a big joke but people get away with it, so keep on doing it.

Going to Butuan on Mindanao Island in the south of the Phillipines on a cultural tour and some cooking projects. Hoping to visit Lanza in Oct/Nov for a 2 week visit depending on what happens. Definately I´ll come for a visit and a drink, don´t get much time for cider now..... Take care Sue, hope you get something soon. I´m sure you will.
