Off to PB for the first time in March. Staying near Marina Rubicon. Any recommendations for a reasonably priced restaurant. I don't want pizza or chinese.

Nothing too fancy - steak or Fish

The restaurants at the marina are all good, but not cheap. Avoid Lani's grill though.

In the main part of PB I'd recommend Tipico Canaria on the front and Tipico Espana opposite the main square in front of the church.

I experienced Lani's in PDC a few years ago. I won't be entering the premises on PB. Did see Lani's boat in the harbour near PDC - I can see where the money goes from all the first timers who think "This looks nice - lets eat here."

Happy to walk or drive to the main PB area.

To be fair to Lani's I've had some very good meals at the various Lani's over the years. But I've has some pretty average ones too. The one at the Marina Rubicon is particularly average but pretty expensive. The Lani's snack bar next to it is fine though, I've had some good lunches there.

In PDC one of our favourites places was Lani's Italian, I don't even know if it's still there though.

Well am off there tomorrow - have had good reports of the "new" romantica - which has moved from its old premises. Great for red meat!

Casa Pedro on the front is prob the best and prob the oldest. Service can be a little surly unfortunately but the grilled fresh fish is simple but perfect.

Tipico Canario was good too - they are open later than many of the others.

And Brisas Marina is another old stager. Excellent for lunch!

Bocaina is good - nice sofa's for drinks too but the food was a bit like home! Ie. like a really good bistro/gastro pub standard.

Can we meet for a drink and chat foodie? :D

Would be great to meet up. I can be there any day this week except tomorrow.

I like Don Camillo II and Rincon Playa.
