Buddies Bar has now moved from the harbour area to CC. La Hoya (think that's how you spell it) - upstairs - same place as Tartan Teddies. Used to be the bar Soul Sister.

Sorry m8 but the real Rory Gallagher has been dead for a number of years, is this a tribute band?

Obviously this isn't the 'dead' one. He is a singer songwriter, he also does some covers too but isn't a tribute band to the original Rory Gallagher.

Thanks for the info Sonnyboy, do you know if Declan still runs Buddy's? Has another bar opened where the original Buddy's was?

Not a tribute band, just 2 Rory Gallaghers and both from Co Donegal! The 'original' Rory Gallagher was born in Ballyshannon and there is a music festival dedicated to him every year in Ballyshannon. Gallagher is a very common surname in Donegal and its proper pronuniciation in Gall a her, not gallagar.
