Well I am a 'Cooney' born in England with a British passport and all Irish ancestory and now with an Irish passport too and after living in England all my life but spending more and more time in Ireland and Lanzarote where possible let me tell you what I think. I feel deep down a complete connection to the Irish and complete detachment from the English, the English are conservative, reserved, insular, miserable, unfriendly and boring, yes there are some lovely people but Im talking in general, in contrast I find the Irish in general to be so friendly, helpful, funny, old fashioned values, fantastic company in the pub, they will go out of their way to help you, want to meet you and mix with you, be friends etc and to me there is no-one like them, yes I know in Ireland there are more gangsters in Dublin than the entire Uk but all that is to do with drugs and internal fueding and nothing to do with day to day normal life. Everytime I go to Cork or Kerry or Galway or Dublin we have the time of our life and my missus never stops smiling and it's the same in Lanzarote, we always end up having a good laugh with the Irish whilst on the other hand the english dont want to know you just like it is here in the UK and I can't stand the country and what it stands for. The Irish represent the true spirit of a vibrant happy outlook on life and I am proud to know that's where my family come from, I only wish I'd been born there or on Lanza!!!

The only water park on the island is in Costa Teguise. There used to be a bus that picked up in PDC and took you there. It's not the best water park but it's not the worst either, if you go try to make a day of it to get your money's worth.

However, beware, you may bump into some of those 'miserable english people', that would be terrible.

I'm closing this thread as it doesn't seem to be relevant to Lanzarote (apart from the title) and will only upset people.
