Worrying times for thomas cook and their customers. we are booked with them to lanza over christmas. fingers crossed they dont go belly up. Although we are covered etc, I wanna get there!! company has been in trouble for a while, should not have been allowed to recently buy co op's etc when they are nearly a billion in debt.

Try checking different sites, pprune etc, for up to date info.

I hope that they will survive but being a Pan European airline it depends who has the strongest will.

Against all my possible thoughts, Ryanair have vast money reserves........maybe?

Stellios is looking at setting up Fastjet, he and his family have lots of cash.

Lots of aircraft parked up for the winter so no problem on a return home for anyone stranded. They have only asked for an extention to loan availability, so it's up to the banks. Also Thomas Cook is a sponsor of the London 2012 Olympics, will they be allowed to fold?
