I may be incorrect, but I would guess that the general rule of thumb would be to buy a property that you would be happy to holiday in and also one you wouldn't mind living in. The ones I have been looking at on the internet are on the same complex/street that we have stayed in a couple of time and when we first stepped foot in one our first impression was 'wow!'. That's something that I would want somebody else to experience.
Is that anybody on this forum that actually has property that they rent out? If so, what are things like at the moment?

Buy a place you would happily holiday in, always research local facilities yourself rather than rely on the estate agent and market it yourself to give the personal touch.
