Never been keen on roses, lots of things to get thorny about, life is good but you have to work hard and try to drink hard too! lol

plan nice things for you and your fella, anything you can do in lanza with tommy, you can do at home with a fella who has stood by you for 9 years

Hey,
Was just reading this post and it kinda struck a chord with me. I had my daughter when I was at Uni (she's 2 and a half now) and ended up dropping out just coz I wanted to give her the attention she deserves. I've got a place at Uni in Sept 2008 to finish my degree, but in the meantime I just feel so stuck....
She's at nursery now, so I'm kind of just a homemaker, but I feel like I'm just leeching money off her dad and my parents. I looked at flats to rent on Lanza and they're so cheap compared with here (and comparing standard - I pay £700 a month for something similar to a 600 Euro a month place), and my Spanish is good so I'd be confident doing tours or something. I found an English school near PDC she could go to for a while....am I being an idiot? I know I'd be alone (although I know a couple of people on the island from holidays) but it wouldn't be a very long-term thing, just something to fill 8 months til I restart my degree course. My little girl is a joy, so well behaved, sociable, and she loves it over there. I'd have no worries whatsoever about moving with her, she's still young enough that so long as she's with me she's ok.
What do you all think? I'm so depressed here, it's like I have to work every hour God sends in some ****ty job, or just sign on. I know it's still hard work over there, but at least it's warm, and my little one could swim every afternoon before bath and bed!
Please help!
xxx
