Some of you may have noticed that the restaurant Rincon Playa on the waterfront in PB has been closed for a couple of days. So has the Irish Pub Old Mill and the restaurant below it.

The reason is that Jose (owner of Rincon Playa) was killed in a road accident Thursday night roughly midway between PB and Yaiza. Jose's sisters operate the restaurant below the Old Mill, and decided to close for a few days. Carlos in Old Mill is married to one of the sisters, - and he decided to close as well.

Apparently Jose was not driving the car himself, but was thrown out as the car hit a rock immediately after it came off the road. The female driver was apparently not hurt thanks to her proper use of seat belt.
